We are a very rare breed of human; independent pub operators... There's not many of us left!  Our vision is of a proper pub run with care and passion to welcome all our lovely locals whatever your age, persuasion, or favourite tipple, we look forward to hosting you.

​Having grown up in a pub and worked in pubs since the tender age of 14, Pete went on to train with Mitchells & Butlers (well, Bass back then!) in 1992.  30 years later he still loves pubs more than anything else.

In particular he adores the City and has always been driven to run pubs in this very special little square mile.  Being an independent operator, creating our own pub from a total blank canvas has been a life goal and is a real passion and source of pride for Pete.

Every detail is meticulously managed.  It's a proper pub that is warm, friendly and inviting. Lines are cleaned. Glasses are frozen. Wines are from a lovely independent wholesaler. The food is home cooked, absolutely delicious and generous. Staff are helpful and actually enjoy their job!
